This release boosts the application to Android 9.0 compatibility. As the previous HTTP libraries no longer work, this has been replaced.
Twitter was always based on your personal user account to search for geocaches. This has now been converted to application access, so authentication is no longer needed. Hopefully it won't trigger any thresholds.
Another change is the notifications. It now got its own space at the top. If you want to switch back, please tick the corresponding box in the settings.
Movement on the map (jumping back to the selected cache) is somewhat restricted.
Android 9.0 won't allow for HTTP connections by default (only HTTPS), so this might give some issues. Any exceptions need to be configured in the application.
Furthermore, an action menu will be presented on the side as soon as selection mode is activated, giving easier access to maintenance.
* Cache collection is somewhat more chatty so you can see what happens. Also Android 8+ users will see now the cooldown message too. * Cache collection will now also commence even if there is no GC-user available * Cache collection will run each type in a separate thread, so If one hangs or crashes, the others will continue * Twitter authentication is now actually stored correctly, so it won't block the cache collection if switched on.
